Community Gospel Choir —
Uniting God’s People Through Song

Bringing together singers from all backgrounds, the Community Gospel Choir seeks to build bridges that restore unity to “community.” Through the rich tradition of African-American spirituals and the energy of Gospel music, we deliver the messages of hope and joy found in the Good News.

The choir was formed in the summer of 2007 and has grown to more than 60 members. It has become recognized as one of the premier gospel choirs in the region, often bringing audiences to their feet during performances.

We are proud that we are the most racially diverse choir in the St. Louis area. We will continue to stand united against racism and injustice, as we support our Black neighbors, friends, sponsors, choir members and musicians.

The choir rehearses weekly and performs approximately six concerts per year. Interested in singing with us? Please contact us at Want to know about upcoming concerts and events? Join our mailing list.

Update Regarding COVID 19

Community Gospel Choir is currently not rehearsing or performing live due to the risk of our singers gathering to sing and perform. We are still meeting together virtually.  And we plan to release some virtual performance tracks this Fall and during the Christmas season.

We remain committed to our mission of breaking down racial, cultural and economic barriers in the St. Louis community through song. We will continue our mission even through the tough times. Stay in touch with us through our Facebook page and emails for updates. We’ll resume as soon as it is safe to do so, and you’ll be the first to know. Stay healthy.
